Lemonscapes (2023-2024)

year-long lemon exploration

Lemonscapes is a multi-sensory installation exploring my relationship with lemons as a metaphor of loss. For a year, I worked exclusively with lemons as my artistic material. Throughout that year, I explored the lemon’s colour, scent, acidity and symbolism through a series of installations, performances, objects and participatory events.
By squeezing, cutting, lighting, printing and playing with lemons,
I transformed into tools for reflection on decay and renewal.
The fruit became both subject and collaborator, shifting between material and metaphor.

The project brings together sculpture, print, collage, photography and performance, each piece revealing a new layer of the lemon’s sensory and emotional potential. From glowing lemon lamps to shared lemonade-making events, Lemonscapes captures the beauty, humour and fragility of working with something so ordinary, yet endlessly alive.
