Smell Cake (2025)
Fourteen 3D-printed hand sculptures,
essential oils, and a rotating base.
A carousel of disembodied hands invites an intimate encounter through scent. Rooted in ongoing research into ASMR and sensory aesthetics, this piece asks: what might ASMR smell like?
Each hand holds a unique blend of essential oils—including lavender, rosemary, rose, geranium, sweet orange, sandalwood, frankincense, cinnamon, ylang ylang, bergamot, chamomile, vanilla, clary sage, lemongrass, citronella, jasmine, eucalyptus, peppermint, patchouli, and tea tree.
